Tai Lopez 2024: 1. Strategy For Starting a Business from Nothing
I spoke to Tai about my financial freedom challenges, where I have started again from nothing. I asked him how he would go about starting again from nothing, if he was going to do a challenge like that himself. I have always done this in the world of property. I normally start by packaging and selling deals at first, and then use that money to fund rent-to-rent or lease option properties. I was therefore interested in how Tai would do it.
Tai said he would earn money via phone sales at first. He said he would get a job selling a product for $10,000 to $100,000 that paid 10% commissions. He would then use the money to start a niche social media marketing agency, for example a Snapchat agency.
Tai Lopez 2024: 2. Advantages of Doing Business in America
Tai spoke about some of the advantages of doing business in the USA. He said that many places on earth have a set class structure that can hold some people back. But in the United States, that doesn’t matter as much when it comes to making money. If you can make someone richer, they don’t care that much about your background.
It is also more acceptable to try, fail and try again, in the USA. In some places in the world, if your company goes into bankruptcy, no investor will ever trust you again. But in America, having resilience and not accepting failure is applauded!
Tai Lopez 2024: 3. Maintain Privacy As Your Wealth Grows
Tai says he doesn’t put out much in the way of personal details, such as his age, because of identity theft. He says people have already attempted to take out credit in his name. This is particularly relevant as your wealth grows. While I am more open about my personal life, I also take certain precautions when it comes to privacy.
Tai also seeks to minimise what his net worth is quoted as online. He says the USA is particularly litigious, and having a high net worth publicly makes you a target for frivolous lawsuits. This is because, unlike in the UK, the loser of a lawsuit does not normally need to pay the other side's costs. Certainly worth thinking about as your wealth grows!
