In this week’s video, Samuel interviewed one of his success students, who in the last 18 months has bought 24 houses, some of which are no money down deals and has now left his corporate, full-time job, as a result of Samuel Leeds Property Investing training!
The video see’s Ian Pattison, a success student, at Samuel’s home in Lichfield, where he describes his hard-working yet worthy journey to financial freedom – including where he began, where he is at now and where he hopes to be in the future. The video saw Ian explain how his aim in life was to work his way up the career ladder, after working in Safety for the best part of 20 years!
Ian’s career in Safety has been by far enjoyable (and very well paid!), working on exciting projects such as Heathrow’s Terminal 5 and the Olympic Stadium as well as seeing how much working in the Safety sector made a made a positive difference and impact to people’s lives. However, despite the fantastic opportunities and achievements he’s had, the long working hours of 5am – 9pm were starting to take its toll…
Samuel asked Ian what the main reasons were for wanting to invest in property, in which Ian fast replied, “the risk of redundancy”.
Ian stated,
“No matter how much you earn you are no safer. I realised my job is no safer than anybody else’s. It doesn’t matter how much you earn in life, if you’re relying on exchanging time for income, it is always a fragile existence’.
The successful property investors recalled the time they first met on the 13th and 14th January 2017, where Ian attended the Property Investors Crash Course with Samuel Leeds, which he described as a ‘life-changing’ two days. Even though Ian knew beforehand he wanted to invest in property, he admitted he wasted A LOT of money, which made him realise there was no problem with investing, but a problem with his strategies!
Ian later explained how Lease Option Agreements are favourite strategy when investing in property, as well as how he secures the deals and what he took from the crash course. 18 months and 24 houses later, Ian proudly explains how he achieves a very healthy passive income of over £6,000 per month and reveals how still working full time allowed him to have consistent income to invest!
Ian is now FINANCIALLY FREE as a result of Samuel Leeds training and has handed in his 3-month work notice! Ian reveals how as an opportunist, he managed and utilised his time wisely during his lengthy commutes to work hard on his strategies. In order to be successful, it is important to build up a relationship with the people you are working with, to attend property networking events and communicate with estate agents, Ian stated.
His final words of advice for ANYONE who is considering investing in property and wants to achieve financial freedom?
“Look at the big picture. What do you want out of life? Do you want to work for an employer all your life? If so that is fine. But think about what you want to do, you can overcome your challenges, just focus on the big picture.”
