Back To Brick Refurbishment Before And After: House Impressively Transformed For Under £30K! #3 Top Tricks

Back To Brick Refurbishment Before And After: In a recent video for my YouTube channel, I toured an incredible property transformation with one of my success students, Andrew, in Lancaster. Andrew took a property with dry rot, mould, and damp and transformed it for under £30,000!

If you would like to see the full back to brick refurbishment before and after video, you can watch it at the top of this page or on my YouTube channel. I highly recommend watching the full video until the end, if you are considering doing this type of project yourself.

For all the back to brick refurbishment before and after photos, please see the video. It is amazing to see the results Andrew achieved with such a low budget!

There are many lessons to be learnt from Andrew’s back to brick refurbishment. In this article, I will give you 3 lessons that you can use in your own refurb. If you find this article helpful, please consider sharing it with your friends on social media. This information could be useful to a lot of people, but I need your help getting it out there to them!

1. Back To Brick Refurbishment Before And After: Do The Work Yourself To Cut Costs

Andrew isn’t a builder, but he did the labour himself on this project. He literally taught himself how to plaster by watching YouTube videos! This was a massive cost saving for this refurbishment. When looking at the back to brick refurbishment before and after pictures, I was impressed by the quality achieved by Andrew's own two hands!

While you may not be able to do all the work yourself, the more you can do, the more you will save. There are a number of online resources that can help you to learn DIY skills, as well as books and training programmes.

2. Back To Brick Refurbishment Before And After: Find Second-hand Deals

Andrew found many of the items used to furnish the house on Facebook Marketplace. Finding cheap, but high quality, second-hand goods is another brilliant cost cutter. Often, people simply want to get rid of a certain item and are willing to sell it for much less than it is worth.

It is important to make sure you are buying things that are in good condition, or that you can upcycle into something high-end. The aim is to save money without sacrificing quality! If you choose items carefully, you can add value without spending the earth!

3. Back To Brick Refurbishment Before And After: Find Funders That Understand Your Vision

Andrew wasn’t having much luck with traditional lenders. They either wanted Andrew to show that he had years of previous experience, or they didn’t believe he could do the refurbishment for under £30k. Luckily, Andrew is a member of my Academy and is therefore eligible to apply for funding via Samuel Leeds Finance. We were able to fund his project knowing he had the correct training and support.

Make sure you have access to funders that understand your vision. This could be in the form of joint venture partners, bridging finance lenders, or lending from private investors. Whatever route you choose, find people that will back you!
